Be my Valentine… Valentine’s Vanilla Donuts with lots of Love!

Be my Valentine… ?!
Be my Valentine… ?! Are you already in full Valentine’s mood or do you prefer to ignore the day of love “cool like a cucumber”? Valentine’s Lover or voluntary Single … Today you are in for a sweet treat: Valentine’s Vanilla Donuts with lots of Love! And of corse I just had to throw sugar hearts around like it’s confetti… but hey… Valentine’s is only once a year – might as well. Oh and feel free to adjust this recipe to your personal liking – add for example chocolate to the batter or decorate with chocolate sprinkles instead – I get that tacky heart decorations aren’t everybody’s cup of tea :) (It doesn’t hurt though, either).
Zutaten für 12 Donuts:
Fett für die Backform
250g Mehl
2TL Backpulver
150g Zucker
2 Päckchen Vanillezucker oder Vanille Aroma
Prise Salz
250ml Buttermilch
2 Eier
Ingredients for 12 Donuts:

Non-stick vegetable pan spray
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 packages of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Preheat oven to 425 °F (220°C). Mix dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Mix liquid ingredients, preferably use a handheld mixer for that. Add flour mixture to liquid ingredients and stir until combined. If the batter is still to thick, feel free to add some more buttermilk. Bake 7-9 minutes or until the tops of the doughnuts spring back when touched. Let cool in pan 4-5 minutes before removing. Finish donuts with chocolate or vanilla glaze, or whatever you prefer!

Happy Friday!
