Oh sweet hometown glory – You get me every time. I guess, the positive of having lived abroad is that you truly learn to appreciate so many different things about your home town and also your home country. You see a lot of things differently and realize that you might have taken certain things for granted. Also, you can play tourist in your own hometown which is actually super fun! I feel like a lot of us always look for adventures in different places, far away, in different countries. Of course that is fun, but one should never forget what beauty might be just around the corner of your front door.
On this beautiful mild day, I decided to play a tourist with my mum and Welli, we bought fresh fish straight from a boat (bucket list – check!) and went for a delicious meal right by the harbour. It was one of those beautiful days out of nothing!
Since it was such a sunny and mild autumn day, I decided to wear my trusty Zara Trench Coat, which I absolutely have not regretted buying. I am so happy with it, the fit, the material and especially the length! I can’t stress enough how important it is to have it at a length that suits your height. I am not really petite, with my 1,69m, but I am also not very tall and have quite a small frame. Before, I never used to like the way trench coats looked on me and I am quite sure, that was because I always got them in the wrong length and I ended up looking like I was swallowed up by them. Now, Trench coats have pretty much turned into my favourite thing to wear!
I know, this outfit is absolutely nothing special, but I wanted to remind you that you don’t always have to buy something new or the latest trend piece in order to look good. The good old classics are always a good idea, when in doubt and you will most likely look appropriate pretty much all of the time!
Happy Weekend, guys! xo
