First Experiences with the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge

Today is a bit of a different post, because I am sharing my first experiences with the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge When Samsung reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try out their new Galaxy S6 edge, I happily agreed. I have never owned any android mobile device and it was important to me that I could be 100% objective with this. You guys know, that this is by no means a tech blog and I want to keep it that way. So I am not going to go into any technical details here and simply share my 100% honest first impressions with this phone.

Heute gibt es einen Post der etwas anderen Art, denn ich teile mit euch meinen ersten Eindrücke des Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Als Samsung auf mich zukam und fragte, ob ich das Smartphone testen möchte, stimmte ich relativ schnell zu, denn als kompletter Android Neuling kann ich euch meine 100%ige Objektivität versprechen, was mir sehr wichtig war. Ihr wisst, dass feelwunderbar.com in keiner Weise ein Tech-Blog ist und so möchte ich es auch halten. Da gibt es andere, die sich besser auskennen und viel mehr ins Detail gehen. Ich möchte heute einfach meine 100% ehrlichen, ersten Eindrücke mit euch teilen, als Blogger und jemand der unheimlich gern Fotos macht.

 

As a blogger and someone who loves to take pictures in general, the first thing that I wanted to test out, was the camera, which pleasantly surprised me. I look some pictures by the ocean during sunset and they turned out really nicely and sharp even though, the lighting wasn’t optimal. The selfie front camera still needs to be put to the test though. I am also excited to try out the video function with its image stabilization, because of its good reputation, so we will se in future posts how that is going to hold up.

This leads me to the next point, the display / screen. The most obvious aspect is its slightly curved shape around the edges. It gives you a little bit of an optical illusion of the display being almost “frameless” on the sides, which is really nice and the display also looks extremely sharp, so really no complaints here. Another plus is the option of wireless charging, which is something that is new to me.

 

Wie ich bereits erwähnt habe, war mir als Blogger erstmal das Testen der Kamera am wichtigsten, denn das ist die Funktion, die ich eigentlich auch am meisten an einem Smartphone schätze und nutze. Ich war positiv überrascht, da die Kamera auch bei den dunklen und relativ schlechten Lichtverhältnissen am Strand noch sehr scharfe Bilder geschossen hat. Die Selfie-Kamera konnte ich noch nicht testen, dass wird aber wohl der nächste Punkt werden, inklusive der immer so gelobten Video-Funktion mit Bildstabilisation. Wir werden sehen, wie sich das Galaxy S6 edge dort schlägt.

Der nächste Aspekt, der mir auffiel, was das Display. Es ist schön scharf und durch das kurvige Design erscheint es an den Seiten fast Randlos. Hier gibt es eigentlich nur Lob.
Ein weiterer positiver Aspekt des Handys ist die Funktion es auch wireless zu laden, was ich bis jetzt bei keinem meiner Handys hatte, definitiv eine coole Option.

 

So far, I can say that the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is a really nice phone and can definitely hold up with its competitors. When it comes to picture quality, it might even be a tiny bit ahead. Designwise, I think it is pretty much a matter of personal taste whether you love this phone or not.
I am looking forward to trying out lots more functions and getting to know the phone a bit better, because as with any other device, it takes some time getting used to it. I will keep you guys posted! xo

Von meinem bisherigen Eindruck kann ich sagen, dass das Samsung Galaxy S6 edge ein schönes Smartphone ist, dass es mit definitiv mit seiner Konkurrenz aufnehmen kann und was die Foto-Qualität angeht, vielleicht ein ganz klein wenig bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen die Nase vorn hat. Design-technisch muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, ob es etwas für ihn ist oder nicht.
Ich bin schon gespannt viele neue Features des Smartphones zu testen und mich insgesamt ein wenig vertrauter damit zu machen, denn wie mit allen neuen Dingen, brauch die Eingewöhnung etwas Zeit. Ich halte euch definitiv auf dem laufenden! xo
