BEAUTY TALK: June Favourites

I don’t know about you, but during these hot summer months, I try to keep my makeup and beauty routine fairly simple. Hot weather and too much foundation are just two things that don’t mix very well and I feel like my skin just gets extra congested if I don’t keep the foundation to a minimum. June has been treating us very well weather wise here in Canada – believe it or not ;) So the motto for this past month was just: keep it simple. Below you can find all of the products I have been loving during the month of June.

// Loréal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation “205 Natural Beige”

My absolute favourite foundation as of lately. It is glowy, fresh and very natural looking and with a big shade selection for almost every skin type. It is long lasting and at a drugstore price point, you really can’t complain.

This Zoeva brush goes hand in hand with the foundation. I had some issues with stippling brushes leaving little foundation splatters everywhere, which does not happy with this brush. If buffs the foundation in and leaves a very natural finish.

On the hunt for a highlighter for the perfect summer glow?! Well, look no further! This one is more on the golden side, compared to its sister “Champagne Pop” and perfect for that bronzed summer glow. A product that I am using on the daily and don’t want to miss anymore.

Last month, I tried out lash extensions for the first time and I have been hooked ever since. But since you shouldn’t use any products that contain oil to remove makeup around your eyes, this Micellar Water from Garnier has been perfect. It removes eyeshadow and stubborn waterproof mascara, that I still like to use on my bottom lashes.

My new holy grail peeling is this one by PIXI. Like I have mentioned before, my skin tends to get congested and very textured when it is hot and I am in the sun and this peeling helps enormously with that. It gives you glowing, baby bum smooth skin, without being too abrasive. It is enzyme based and super gentle – I highly recommend it!

I suffered a pretty big burn on my arm after frying some fish and was left with a big brown oil splatter shaped mark. Fortunately, it didn’t blister on me, which I think is thanks to this cream. It is originally formulated for dry patches and eczema, but I think it really helped with healing my burn which is now completely gone!

Summer time means lots off shoulder tops and that always leaves the question for appropriate underwear. I have been on the hunt for a strapless bra for so long now and I have finally found it. This one stays in place and gives great support!
