Last Summer Weeks & Summer Sale Finds

We are approaching that bittersweet time of the year, where you can just feel that the seasons are about to change from long, hot summer days to the colder & shorter autumn and winter months. But not only mother nature is telling us that seasons are about to change – retailers are amongst the first ones to scream “End of season sale” and are already pushing their new fall lines. If you ask me, we could all “chill out” a bit when it comes to introducing fall, with for example Zara launching the Autumn collection at the beginning of August. I am not even going to lie, I was extremely mad when I saw that “fall collection” button on the website Because let’s be honest: a normal person doesn’t even think about fall at the beginning of August – I mean “Hello?!” this is one of the most gorgeous months of the year, usually filled with days by the beach and summer barbeques. Besides, I don’t need anybody to push that feeling of fall melancholy already – we will get there anyways, people!

So here we go with one of my very few sale finds this year in a very empty end of summer sale section – because god forbid you actually want to buy summer clothes by the end of summer – my new linen skirt from H&M!

I am loving very simple outfit combinations lately because I have come to the realization that I tend to wear neutrals for longer than colorful statement pieces, that feel outdated much quicker. Maybe I spoke too soon here though because giving it a little more thought, I have a big H&M Online order on the way that is full of gorgeous floral prints – haha!
